Dr. Elvira Bodmer (Lucerne, Switzerland) as well as BIRG members Prof. Hermann Krimmer (Ravensburg, Germany) and Prof. Max Haerle (Markgröningen, Germany) gave interesting insights into the topic "Patient specific reconstructions in hand surgery". The symposium focused on case studies, experiences and results in distal radius and forearm corrections as well as corrections of Madelung deformities, which were planned in 3D and treated with patient-specific guides and plates. 
The training event was very well attended by about 60 participants, who followed the one-hour event with great interest and actively participated in the subsequent panel discussion.
