The reports of the last BIRG year highlighted the diverse on-site teaching activities from the Department Teaching and Education. To strengthen the Department Research in the future, there will be different grants available for selected research projects.

With the elections, the BIRG Annual Meeting was closed. From now on, Dr. Martin Richter (Bonn, Germany) will be the BIRG President supported in his activities by the Vice President Dr. Alberto Sgarbossa (Brescia, Italy). Together with Mr Simon Pickard (Shrewsbury, UK), new Head of Department Teaching and Education, and re-elected Priv. Doz. Dr. Reinhard Meier (Neustadt a.d. Aisch, Germany), the Head of Department Research, the BIRG board is completed.
